Try different approaches to segment your database. This works best with large databases, but it helps you determine if you are better off targeting, for example, CTOs or engineering managers and in what way.
Similarly, you can target different groups of people, publications or locations using Google display ads to determine what works best. Some of Google’s demographic tools can be exceptionally useful when determining where to run certain types of advertising and how they perform. For example, if you are targeting B2B customers it might be worth removing those of retirement age from the target list as it might improve the results among active users.
